Meet the Board
2024 Sioux Empire DOVIA Board Members
President
HI! My name is Bekah, and I serve as the DOVIA President for 2024. I'm a graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Go Zags! I have worked at Sanford Health for a year and a half as the Volunteer Coordinator. Working with volunteers is so rewarding, especially when we see the impact they make and hear how they are impacted, as well! When I am not working, you can find me spending time with our new baby girl that we welcome in November 2023, attending football or basketball games to support my husband, Marc, as he coaches at the high school level, or playing with our pup, Rui. We enjoy being outdoors when nice weather allows, venturing around Sioux Falls and spending time with our families!
Vice President & Marketing
My name is Bella, and I serve as the DOVIA Vice President for 2023-2024.My first experience coordinating volunteers was in High School as a Serving and Learning Together (SALSA) Youth Action Council leader. I continued on to serve on Augustana’s Serving and Learning Together (SALT) board for 4 years in college. After graduating from Augie with a degree in Psychology, I worked in various human services positions until I entered the field of volunteer management as the Eastern Volunteer Coordinator with Feeding South Dakota. My current role is with The Helpline Center as the Volunteer Connections Manager. I love promoting volunteerism across the state. I stay busy outside of work, managing my 2 little ones, Brooks and Isla, alongside my husband, Andrew.
Treasurer
Hi! My name is Amanda and I serve as the DOVIA Treasurer for 2024-2025. My undergraduate is in Healthcare Management from National American University and my graduate degree is in Ministry Leadership from Wesley Seminary. Most of my Volunteer Coordinating experience comes from leading volunteers in the church kid’s ministry setting. More recently I have worked at the Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety as the Volunteer Coordinator. I am now the Executive Assistant and Donor Relations Manager at LifeLight Communications. I have a passion for volunteering in the community. My husband and I have a ministry called East River Hip Hop Ministry in which we find ways that we can volunteer in the community all year around, and I am in charge of coordinating volunteers for the ministry. My favorite thing to do outside of work is to spend time with family. Our free time consists of soccer games, band concerts, campfires, and volunteering in the community.

Strategic Support
Hello! My name is Becca Conner and I serve in the Strategic Support role for 2024! I work at Sanford Health as the Manager of Volunteer Services and Employee Recognition programs. I feel fortunate to get to work with volunteers because they are so kind, helpful, and they consistently brighten someone’s day. I also get to work with DOVIA board president Bekah Aisenbrey in the Volunteer Office. I hold a degree in Business/Communication from Augustana University. I am married to Bryan and we have two kids, ages 8 and 11, as well as a mini goldendoodle named Luna. In my spare time (which is pretty rare!), I enjoy watching movies, reading, and playing foosball.
